I decided that I still needed LIRC even though it was possible to do
without.  And one of the things I find it useful for is to control
which keys autorepeat and when and how fast they do it.

I found this page to be invaluable in helping me to get it all set up
correctly:

It is for LinHES, not Mythbuntu, but most of the information is
applicable to Ubuntu also.
