You should have either a Video Storage Group /or/ specify the frontend 
video directory setting, but not both--at least /never/ point both to 
the same location.  Ideally, you'd use /only/ the Video Storage Group.  
I may have misinterpreted what you've said, but wanted to make it clear, 
just in case.
