  Yes, I have been running --dd-grab-all for quite sometime,but haven't 
run the  optimize_mythdb.pl script yet..
  I have only run MFD under a cron job for one day,just to see if I 
could get MFD to run only at night..

  All my recordings and video files are on EXT4 format drives with 
barriers disabled.. The database is on a ext3 formated disk..
