Thanks for that too. This is my ScientificLinux6 laptop and I guess
the relevant file is probably /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0,
but I think I should probably drop this for the present.
I can get a display by VGA and although it won't match what I might get
via uPnP it will be much better than what it replaces.
