[mythtv-users] How to repair mysql?

Oh, and by the way, at least at the top level the permissions and groups on
those directories are the same between the mythtv computer where mysql
doesn't work and the other one without mythtv where the clean install of
mysql worked. I haven't checked all the internal files.

On the myth computer where mysql doesn't install:
# ls -ld /var/lib/mysql.bak /var/run/mysqld.bak /var/log/mysql.bak
/etc/mysql.bak
drwxr-xr-x 3 root  root  4096 Mar 10 20:45 /etc/mysql.bak

On the non-myth computer where mysql just installed properly:
