Valid point! Because I can I guess is the answer.

Its a pain to get the satellite feed back to the master backend so I
figured if I can run it as a slave backend then I can use it to watch the
occasional satellite feed.  I have run tvheadend on the pi and can watch
the satellite channels via xbmc and the tvh plugin so I know it has the
capacity to do it. Now what I really want is MythTV's scheduling and
recording

Its all a bit of fun really I guess
