Perhaps I'm missing something here, but it seems the OP is in the UK. If that is
the case, then the fact he is using a DVB-T2 stick is immaterial since all radio
channels are carried on a DVB-T mux.
I have a 290e nanostick and it is quite capable of tuning DVB-T as well as
DVB-T2. (Indeed, it can also tune DVB-C allegedly, though you can't do that in
the UK because of Virgin Media's DRM.)
The OP's problem might be in switching the reception between a DVB-T2 mux and a
DVB-T one.
