[mythtv-users] MythTV Android Frontend 1.10.0 Released

Woot!  I love the option to not use HLS.  It totally answers the "on the
BE's WLAN" use-case for both tablet users at home and for the new breed
of "Android TV stick"s that are coming.

Direct streaming of my SD content to MX player seems to be working
wonderfully.

One thing I have noticed in this release and in past releases is that in
the Recordings screen I have the names of shows down the left, episodes
of a selected show on the bottom to the right of the listed shows and at
the top right I have the selected episode details.

Then right in the middle of the above two a big empty space.  Is there
something supposed to be there?

Also, it would be nice to be able to toggle amongst a number of episode
sorts: most recent first/last by showing date or by recorded date or by
season/episode number

Great work though folks!!

Now, thinking about Android TV sticks... I wonder if one can get a USB
IR receiving working using an OTG cable.  :-)  I know I have a small USB
remote that uses the existing HID keyboard protocol.  I am fairly sure
that would work with Android.  It would just be a matter of being able
to map keyboard keys to actions in your UI.
