Your tuner is likely a hybrid tuner, meaning it supports both analog and digital reception.  Those two different modes are supported in Linux using two different subsystems, meaning to MythTV, they appear as two separate devices.  You can use the analog side if you still have analog channels to access, but it is recommended any analog capture be performed through hardware MPEG encoders, where as your device is almost certainly a V4L framegrabber, leaving MythTV and your CPU to perform encoding and multiplexing.  In any case, in you intend to use both analog and digital sides of a hybrid tuner, you must place them in the same input group so MythTV knows they cannot be used at the same time.
