[mythtv-users] No sound on live TV

I'm a real rookie to both Linux and MythTV so the answer to my issue may be
obvious to all but me.

 

I built up a test backend with 0.26 on Ubuntu Server 12.04 on a Core I7
machine with 500gb of storage.

I have a test frontend with 0.25 on Windows 8 on my main desktop. I have
them talking with each other and it appears they are set up properly except
that while video is delivered just fine to the frontend there is no sound.
I'm using HDHomeRun Prime x2 with CableCard for my tuners and the sound
output on the desktop is Bose speakers connected to USB.

 

When I set the frontend up I did test the audio and it delivered with no
problem. Is it possible that the backend is delivering a video stream but
not the audio or should I focus on the frontend?

 

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
