The instructions are still valid. Since the MyBlaster hasn't been made for many years there has been no change in the script since ~ 2006. I can hunt down my copy and send it to you off list although the author used to post here way back when so he might possibly pop up with a better version. The edit you have to make is to point it at the right serial port. There's an assignment near the top to give the tty number, you don't have to be a perl monger or anything.
