[mythtv-users] Unlinking and mythlink.pl

Hi:  I've been experimenting with a script to concatenate short 
recordings.  I have selected them by copying from the mythlink directory 
to another and then using the info given by ls -l.  This works.

For the next batch I want to delete the old links, select new ones, and 
repeat.  When I have tried this using a graphical file manager it seems 
that this has sometimes deleted not only some of the recording files but 
also removed their titles from 'Watch Recordings'; that surprised me.

I want to keep the 'Follow links when deleting recordings' setting, but 
this behaviour is not what I want here.  I believe I can remove just the 
links using 'rm', and maybe I should first move them to another folder 
for temporary backup while checking that things have worked.  Does 
anyone have a better suggestion?
