You are so right! I haven't used mailing lists in so long that I forgot 
some of the rules. I thought I was being clever. Thank you for gently 
pointing this out. I hope this is a proper reply.

I just uploaded a 9 second clip that demonstrates the problem and 
updated the defect that you referenced above. I hope that it is helpful. 
I am now going to move the InfiniTV card to my Ubuntu box to see if that 
helps. Otherwise, I'll start looking for some miracle cure. The 
suggestion on the mythtranscode page does not help in my situation 
(using ffmpeg to remux the file).
