[mythtv-users] Cant add channel linup on fresh installs

I have recently gone through a similar experience (Ubuntu 12.10 & MythTV 
0.25). I defined a lineup on Schedules Direct. I deleted channels that I 
was not interested in. After informing Myth of this lineup, it did 
download the lineup, but it included channels that I had deleted. It 
also downloaded only partial program guide information. The first week 
was empty.

After much flogging and experimentation the full program guide just 
appeared. I finally used mysql to directly mark the channels as not-visible.

My sense is that some of the problems might just fix themselves after 
several days, but I don't have a good basis for that thesis. This does 
seem to be a problematic area though. Since I'm not willing to put my 
code where my mouth is I can't be too critical. It takes a staggering 
amount of work to produce such a product.
