[mythtv-users] Cutting videos

Hello,

according to http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Editing_Recordings I did some
cutting on a video.

It seems this way cut flags are set, but the video is not cut
physically, right? So the video does not get transcoded to really "cut
away" the selected areas, is this correct?

Is there a way to really and physically cut the selected areas from the
video? I guess this would require transcoding the whole video?
