Thanks very much for your prompt help.   MythWeb is not installed on
my system yet.   I have read up on how to setup the plugins and plan
to install it.

Meanwhile, a friend pointed out that it can be done from the console
frontend as well.

Go to "Upcoming Schedules" select the scheduled recording and click on
the 'd' key, go through the next dialog box, tab to the OK button and
hit enter.  The upcoming schedule is deleted.
