Brian,

Go to mythweb and look at a recording rule. In each rule there is an
inetref field and a lookup button next to it. To get the most out of the
app, you want to make sure your backend has this set so you will see all
the banners and cover art. You can also edit this on a frontend as well but
I find mythweb to be easier.  That will remove most the whitespace you are
seeing in the app.

Then, like Bill said, you use the buttons at the top of the screen to
playback the recordings.

I have to go back and reread this thread regarding your NPE. Where exactly
where you getting a NPE? It sounds like the screens where working correctly
except for the artwork not displaying.

When the NPE occurs, what is the app doing?
