For what it's worth, the relative high CPU consumption of mythlogserver is
a known issue:
http://code.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/11230

According to the top command, mythlogserver consumes about 2-3% of one of
the cores on my 3,46GHz Core i5 backend when idle.
