Hi,

Some materials are available in their download section, driver for
DVB-T2 was released recently but under section 'other'
I've exchanged recently with them (4th of Febuary) for DVB-T2 support
under Linux and they not mentioned anything about dropping that part.

I'm interested about the situation however so I would be interested you
provide their answer.

Regards

Michael

Hello,

Slightly strange response to be honest. First of all:

_______________________________________________
TBS 6284 is not discontinued (it's using the latest technologies after
all) - as you have noticed it's available from our official sales
partner for that range of products - BuyDVB:

http://www.buydvb.net/tbs6284-pcie-dvbt2-quad-tv-tuner-card_p57.html

and i guess from many other places. i hope that information would be
helpful.
_______________________________________________

Which is good news I guess, but I then asked why they are not on the TBS
website, to which they responded:

_______________________________________________
because as i mentioned in the last email BuyDVB are exclusive sales
partner for that range of products. in fact they are listed on
tbsdtv.com, but only in the 'Download' section, where we provide
regularly driver updates for them.
_______________________________________________

This all seems a bit odd to me. BuyDVB may be their exclusive sales
partner (whatever that means as they are for sale elsewhere too!), but
why not have them detailed on their main product website? Sure, the
drivers are available in the downloads section, but to have no other
details on their site seems bizarre to me.

Still think I will buy though. I am planning a TBS 6985 Quad DVB-S/S2
and a TBS 6284 Quad DVB-T/T2 monster BE :-)

Cheers
Mark
