[mythtv-users] (somewhat off-topic) compiling the TBS 6981 driver

I recently started work on resurrecting a Myth box that I played with a
few years back. Started with a fresh install on Debian and could not
get the TBS 6981 to work and after several mails back and forth with TBS
support I started again with Mythbuntu. I still had a few problems (and
more mails to TBS). The final issue was that there were "disagrees
about version of symbol" and "Unknown symbol" errors in the dmesg log.
There is a fix gor this in the FAQ section in the TBS Linux driver package
Mine are now visible, although I don't know if they actually work yet,
more to do on the system.

Hope that helps
