That works if the "original air date" field is correct. 
Unfortunately, between a Detroit station and Schedules Direct, I 
have a series that has incorrect "original air date"s and the 
episodes are jumbled.

When I go to Menu, Recording Options, Change Recording Metadata, 
I can correct a bad "Season" or "Episode", but there is not an 
option to correct a bad "original air date".  At least not on 
fixes/0.25.
