[mythtv-users] Update music database causes frontend crash

Hi - I'm currently unable to update my music database. 'Scan for new music' scans fine, and completes 100%, as does the scan for new artwork, but when it gets to the 'update database' part it causes the frontend to crash at about 3% complete.
It was working fine until a few days ago - I did an update and seem to have had the pre-released and unsupported updates ticked (not sure for how long, as didn't think they were ticked), it happened around this time, so am thinking it's related? 
Either way, any tips for how to get the database updated as I'm now stuck!
I'm on Mythtv version fixes/ 0.27 (v0.27-124-gd965061) and ubuntu 12.04 64 bit, Kernel Linux 3.2.0-58-generic.
