I'm still far from confident with this, but I built my SL6 system by
unpacking the rpmfusion SRPM and replacing the release tarball and
update patch by the tarball from git. I've left other source
components unchanged. That way I hope to retain comparability with what
rpmfusion might build if its policies allowed.
When I last downloaded the tarball it came rather slowly and I suspect
that a git pull would be preferable; I'll put that on the todo list.
