Mmm... I can't figure out how to do this. I'm using both the front end
and back end on a laptop without a remote so all my input is either
mouse of keypad/keyboard. The arrows and <ENTER> seem to be sufficient
to do most everything, but in the "watch recordings" screen there is no
apparent button or way to do do anything but selecting a recorded show
(with the arrow keys) or watch it (with <ENTER>. I've tried the <DEL>
and <BS> keys but they don't do anything.

Aah... Thanks. I keep learning...
The auto expire (I haven't touched the defaults) is not touching the
video files and the oldest one has been sitting there for 2 weeks now.
The disk is not full, so maybe that's the determining factor.
