Yes, I did miss the redirection operator. I have added it, but there is no
change. It is still not writing to Cron.log (or running pm-suspend).

I typed "mail." and I get the following response:
user at FamilyRoomFE:/$ mail.
No command 'mail.' found, did you mean:
Command 'mail' from package 'mailutils' (universe)
Command 'mailp' from package 'mp' (universe)
Command 'mailq' from package 'nullmailer' (universe)
Command 'mailq' from package 'exim4-daemon-heavy' (main)
Command 'mailq' from package 'sendmail-bin' (universe)
Command 'mailq' from package 'courier-mta' (universe)
Command 'mailq' from package 'qmail-run' (universe)
Command 'mailq' from package 'esmtp-run' (universe)
Command 'mailq' from package 'dma' (universe)
Command 'mailq' from package 'ssmtp' (universe)
Command 'mailq' from package 'masqmail' (universe)
Command 'mailq' from package 'postfix' (main)
Command 'mailq' from package 'exim4-daemon-light' (main)
Command 'mailx' from package 'mailutils' (universe)

Or "sudo mail.":
user at FamilyRoomFE:/$ sudo mail.
sudo: mail.: command not found

My apologies, I'm a GUI guy trying to make it in a CLI world. I'm not used
to working so much with the keyboard, but I learn quick. ;)
