But the "single button" *is* it's value. By your argument, I can do all
of that without a remote even.

Raymond, I'm starting to feel like you have a bias against Harmony
remotes and are doing as much as you can to minimize their
functionality/value. Yes, they are expensive. Perhaps too expensive
for their value. But I'm not looking to debate their value, thanks.

Fortunately I got mine as a replacement for a Logitech mouse that died,
that they didn't have a suitable replacement for (Logitech don't make
Bluetooth mice any more). So now I have a Harmony remote and all I have
to do is replace my Bluetooth mouse (for a couple-to-few 10s of dollars)
so for me, the Harmony remote was decent value (i.e. the cost of a
Bluetooth mouse).

Would I pay the $80 that they list it on their website for? Probably
not. I might buy one as a gift for my mother though as remembering all
of the steps she needs to do take to do the various activities in her
entertainment centre is (or was, before she spent weeks putting it all
to memory) getting challenging for her.

Cheers,
b.
