[mythtv-users] how to achieve best quality with SD and an old TV set

I still run an old CRT(?)-based TV set, a european Grundig "Elegance" ...

Why not, it still works, has quite good sound and is large enough for my
room. Cheap solution until it breaks ...

My mythtv backend records via DVB-S ... I only use SD-quality so far
because I would have to upgrade the whole chain to make use of DVB-S2
(-> HD quality). The DVB-card is capable of DVB-S2 but afaik it wouldn't
make sense with this TV-set, right?

Right now my frontend is connected to the TV via S-VHS and some adapter
to make it work with the SCART-inputs on the Grundig.

Is this the best solution given the parameters SCART and SD-only?

What would be the reasonable "next step" ... without spending too much
money?

Thanks, Stefan
