[mythtv-users] Mythtv 0.26 hangs on playback displaying "Please Wait"

I believe that this is an issue with audio. If I start mythfrontend with
--override-setting 'AudioOutputDevice=NULL'
it will play videos silently, but locks up when I select setup audio.
I reinstalled all the pulse and alsa rpms in case something was
corrupted, no change.
I am using kde and trying to run Phonon settings does not work, it never starts.
I can play audio with speaker-test though, so the audio is at least
partially working.
