So.. dummy me went ahead and did a yum update on the F17 backend (the
same backend where I fought with F18 and went back to F17 just last
weekend) which has been running nicely all week. I rebooted, and now I
get the following constantly:
2013-04-19 15:15:18.693489 E [1573/4743] DeviceReadBuffer
DeviceReadBuffer.cpp:518 (Poll) - DevRdB(/dev/video0): Poll giving up 2
2013-04-19 15:15:18.693557 E [1573/3318] RecThread mpegrecorder.cpp:1009
(run) - MPEGRec(/dev/video0): Device error detected
2013-04-19 15:15:23.342308 E [1573/4752] DeviceReadBuffer
DeviceReadBuffer.cpp:518 (Poll) - DevRdB(/dev/video2): Poll giving up 2
2013-04-19 15:15:23.342506 E [1573/3866] RecThread mpegrecorder.cpp:1009
(run) - MPEGRec(/dev/video2): Device error detected
I've got three PVR-150's in the backend. Some googling shows up a bunch
of people who had this problem when going to 0.25, but since it *was*
working until I rebooted after the yum update, I'm going to guess that
it isn't mythtv causing the problem
Now that I have gotten good at rebuilding my backend, I'll just rebuild
it again tonight with a base F17 and not even think about doing a yum
update. :-|
But it still has me scratching my head as to why this would be happening
