[mythtv-users] Cannot install X development packages

Hi there,

I was just wondering if anyone else has run into this issue. I have a newly installed mythbuntu 12.04.02 and I was trying to the install server-xorg-dev package to fix the keycodes > 255 issue for my remote. 

After installing the package, I no longer have a gui desktop. Even after purging the package and running autoremove, I still am left without one.  After a bit of troubleshooting I noticed in the apt log that the xserver-xorg-dev package is causing the mythbuntu-desktop package to be removed (see below).  I assume this is what's causing my issue.  If this is the case, I'm curious to know why the dependency exists and what I need to do to install the X development packages.
