More specifically, it's pulling the list of lineups, where the lineups 
are just names for a group of channels.  It doesn't actually pull any 
channel information until you do the "Fetch channels from listings 
provider" button.  But you can't do that until you've got an actual lineup.

Exactly--you can't get the listings data until you have channels, which 
you can't get until you configure the lineup.
