Just wanted to say thanks.  I've been chasing this issue since I
upgraded to f17 a couple months ago and haven't had any luck.  I
posted about it a while ago "Missing chunks of recordings" but didn't
have enough data to do any real troubleshooting.  I'm watching your
silicondust ticket for a resolution but am hoping the ping trick makes
things stable for the time being.
