I removed the "-v 1" part of the commandline to see what was happening,
and I noticed the error is:

Could not determine norm (PAL/NTSC/NTSC-Film) for target.
Please prefix target with "pal-", "ntsc-" or "film-",
or set a framerate with "-r xxx".


Sure enough, changing "-target dvd" to "-target ntsc-dvd" fixes the
problem and I can switch mythburn.py to use mythffmpeg again.
