To tell it not to do so, you must disable duplicate detection on the rule.

(That said, it may have "worked" for you because you took advantage of a 
long-standing bug that causes the same show to be recorded multiple 
times when aired at exactly the same time on channels with identical 
content on different Video Sources, but that haven't been marked with 
the same callsign.)
