Aha! Somehow I seem to have been removed from the video group when I 
upgraded from Lucid to the latest LTS Ubuntu. Re-adding myself to the 
video group now lets setup get the tuner info. I'll see how I go from 
there. I still break out in cold sweats when I remember my last attempt 
to re tune the Freeview channels.
