Hello all,

I have to correct myself here.

After a little more testing, files on the USB NTFS mounted drive *can* be
played from via the TV's ethernet connection. It just seems that the file
format that Mythtv is recording satellite broadcast TVin is not compatible
at the moment.  Maybe there is a transcoding option to tweak. More
experimentation to follow.
