[mythtv-users] "Today" and "Yesterday" in date fields

What do I need to change so that dates display as "Fri Oct 5 2012" and
"Thu Oct 4 2012" instead of "Today" and "Yesterday"? For example, my
theme uses the startdate widget in the list of recordings, and I'd
like the last three days to be displayed as:

  Wed Oct 3 2012
  Thu Oct 4 2012
  Fri Oct 5 2012

Instead, they're displayed as:

  Wed Oct 3 2012
  Yesterday
  Today

I looked at the date format settings under Setup > Appearance >
Localization, but it doesn't look like I can control this behavior
there. I tried a couple other formats with the same result. Is this
controlled by MythTV, QT, or something else?
