Not sure how useful it will be from that writeup.  I'd suspect any
content that you can't get at via Firewire or HDHomerun Prime will be
protected such that this device won't see it either.  But it proves the
concept, now all somebody needs to do is use the widely circulated break
in HDCP to modify this gadget to appear to be a nice, safely Hollywierd
approved, display device.  Assuming of course it has the circuitry or
CPU grunt to perform the HDCP decrypt; and it probably doesn't,
otherwise the lawsuits would be flying.

This copy protection has to get sensible.  I don't have a problem with
scrambled cable/sat.  After all, they can't stay in business if we can
get the programming for free.  But let us hook up whatever we want to
the signal we pay for instead of this silo mentality.
