I suggest the following error is what needs to be concentrated on.

    sudo mythbackend -v most --user mythtv --nodblog

    mythbackend: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libva-x11.so.1:
    undefined symbol: fool_postp

Please do this (its slightly different than what I asked you off-list:)

    dpkg -l libva-x11-1

and post the response here.

Remembering that the backend won't run, the output of this too:

    strings `locate -b '\mythbackend'` | grep '0.2[3-5]'
