Hi Jakommo,

Thanks for staying with me!

It didn't seem to want to uninstall. Here's the output of it all ...

damian at MythBox:~$ sudo apt-get remove libva1

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies.
libavcodec53 : Depends: libva1 (> 1.0.12~) but it is not going to be
installed
E: Error, pkgProblemResolver::Resolve generated breaks, this may be
caused by he ld packages.

damian at MythBox:~$ sudo apt-get install libva1

libva1 is already the newest version.
libva1 set to manually installed.
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 43 not upgraded.

damian at MythBox:~$ mythbackend -v
mythbackend: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libva-x11.so.1: undefined
symbol: fool_postp
damian at MythBox:~$

Any ideas?
Damian
