I suspect most OS X users don't experience this issue, minor as it is,
because they have the GUI size set to 0. For non-16:9/4:3 users,
however, such as owners of all recent Mac notebooks (16:10), we have
to use the GUI height setting (810 on my 1440x900 screen) to avoid
vertically elongated themes. This, in turn, causes MythFrontend to a)
not take up the entire screen and b) display the menubar and dock. An
acceptable solution for b) is to edit Contents/Info.plist, Show Raw
Keys/Values, then add an entry for LSUIPresentationMode (3 works as a
setting), but a) remains. A solution akin to what dgatwood suggests
would be welcome--say, letterboxing both the UI and playback
windows--especially since I realize it's not realistic to ask theme
developers to produce 16:10 versions too.
