Well, when I was trying to watch a 45s clip, YouTube actually gave me a
15min and a few seconds ad from a certain US Republican Presidential
candidate. When I saw the length of the ad, I decided I had to watch
enough of it to actually see who it was for. It was >3 1/2 minutes
before they actually said something specific enough that I was able to tell.
They do let you "Skip this ad" (requires mouse), but since I was using a
normal desktop in front of the TV and not doing it through
MythNetvision, I was able to skip it. (Just wish I could have skipped
/in/ it to find out who it was for rather than letting it play for 3
1/2min to figure that part out.)
Of course, most tend to be reasonable ads. And, if you get a 15min one
in MNV, you can always exit the playback and try again and you'll
probably get a shorter ad. :)
