This sounds more like a distro problem. You either have a bad package or 
there is a missing dependency, as libQtcore is not a myth library.

Maybe back up a step: save everything, nuke the disk and start again, so 
you can *really* be sure it is 'as clean an install as installing from 
scratch'.
