I've experienced a similar problem, ie recordings not containing sound
(on play back that is). My ubuntu 11.10 PC nanostick 290e DVB-T/T2
system has recorded several programmes which on play back don't have
sound, including the "Italian Job" broadcast a few months ago. I've also
got some recordings where sound is present in the lead in adverts etc
but as soon as the movie starts the sound is no longer present. Is
there some way of decoding such recordings, other than playing them, to
see what the problem might be? I recall, for me, this only happens with
DVB-T2.
