It is for users to optionally ask questions or request assistance.
Anyone is free to ask any related to MythTV usage questions.
The answers (and quality of same) are totally up to the responder.
If someone suggests "there be dragons", and recommends that
you no go there, you are still free to ignore that advice and
venture into those dark places where harm can occur, or take
the advice of someone else that says "twiddle this schema"
(and I presume you will understand that you should ask that
"twiddle this" person if it breaks something).  But one should
respect another's choice if they choose not to tell you how
to do something they do not recommend.  There should be
no expectation of particular quality or quantity of assistance
on such this (self support) users list.  Ask away, just accept
sometimes the answer will not be to your liking.
