Hi;

The "Empty LocalHostName" Notice message prints when the <LocalHostName>
entry in config.xml is empty or equals: "my-unique-identifier-goes-here".

I do understand you've got a ticket open on this too.

The 0.26 release notes have been updated to highlight that the
config.xml link is an example and that the conversion to the new
format is automatic.

I would like to understand the root cause of the problem so that the
release notes can address it. I have never had a need to use the
<LocalHostName> entry in config.xml.

Are you willing to post the output of the following three commands?

     hostname

     grep recorder /etc/hosts ~mythtv/config.xml

     and from mysql: SELECT * FROM settings WHERE value LIKE 'BackendServerIP%';
