[mythtv-users] Recent problem with channel changing scripts

Hello,

Problem:

Channel changing script isn't getting called by Mythtv in all situations.

Starting two nights ago, I started getting recordings that were on the
wrong channels. I used Directv and use the network scripts to change
channels:
http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Controlling_DirecTV_Set_Top_Box_(STB)_via_Network

This has worked flawlessly for the last 3 months and just started
failing 2 nights ago.

I did upgrade to 0.26 about 1 week ago, but I did have many successful
recordings after that so I am not sure if it is related.

I am running Fedora 17 with all updates as of today. The mythtv version
is mythtv-0.26.0-1.fc17.x86_64 from rpmfusion.

I added logging to the script mentioned above. For failed recordings, I
can see that the channel change script was never called so the
recordings are from the last channel used on the satellite receiver. I
can also occasionally replicate this with live TV. Once it starts
failing, it will continue to fail. Restarting the backend isn't a
guaranteed fix. Calling the channel change script by hand is 100%
reliable though, it just seems like mythtv is failing to call it during
channel changes.

Looking through the mythtv logs, I don't see any logging of calls to the
channel changing script ( when failed or successful ) so I am not sure
how to debug. I did add --loglevel debug to my backend but I still
don't see any calls to the scripts. Does this get logged anywhere?

Any suggestions on how to debug this problem?

What logs/logging would help identify this problem?

Michael
