It's been stated by the one developer who actually knows MythZoneMinder 
and ZoneMinder in general that the patch is broken and, AIUI, will break 
MZM for all those people for whom it's now working--i.e. just flip who 
it breaks for.

Nothing will be changed for that ticket before 0.26.  I'd guess that 
until someone comes up with a good description of what's actually 
happening (on the now-working and now-broken setups) and why some people 
seem to be getting a format that's not possible with MythZoneMinder 
(i.e. are distros actually f^Hchanging the upstream code for ZoneMinder 
or something), it will sit open (and untouched) in Trac.
