Just out of curiosity, what version of iOS are you running on your devices?
I believe AirPlay streaming of videos wasn't implemented until 4.2.1 or
thereabouts. (This shouldn't prevent your devices from streaming audio to
MythFrontend, though, so I don't think it's actually the problem)
