[mythtv-users] Silly Question

I agree with Raymond, that as far as Myth goes, recording via the Cable vs
Satellite connection is preferable. I however have 3 mo left in my
Satellite contract, so I can't get rid of the Satellite. I have been paying
Cable without the cable box, so basically I can't see any channels directly
from the TV since I don't have their cable box. I also heard that Comast HD
is a "fake" HD - I am assuming that they are using way lower bit-rates than
others...

But essentially, in 3 months I am thinking of upgrading to Comcast Cable -
disconnecting Satellite.

At this point, since I am left with Satellite for next 3 mo, I just think
it makes more sense to disconnect Comcast till I get more flexibility.

I also want to thank Gary for the in-depth explanation of what it means by
disconnecting the cable connection. I think I might just have to suck it up
and not have a recording for the next 3 odd months till I get the Cable
reinstated - recording Satellite on Myth is a PITA, not to mention I don't
even know how to do it.
